It was 2 in the morning and I saw it running. It was a big one. I screamed and woke my sister up. Ran up to my parents room. Thanks god for connecting rooms. Hehe. My dad tried to search for it but couldn't. By 4 we were about to fall asleep n then the rat was making sounds again that woke all of us up. Gosh such an evil rat!!

Décembre! Mes vacances jusqu'à aujourd'hui

December is the most awesome month of the year. Holiday + Xmas! This post sums up what i've been up to since i came back.

I came back to KK on the 4th December together with Elaine. The only time we get to catch up with one another even though we go to the same uni, we dont see each other. =(

The day i arrived, the first person i met - Hayden Chan! My church, Skyline was having a musical show called "Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat". The story was based on the life of Joseph from the bible with his 11 brothers where his brother sold him to Egypt and later he became Pharoah's right hand man and how he interpret dreams and etc. Check the bible for the whole story. Hehe. The story was about forgiveness. My brother, Godwin was in the choir singing. We had 4 shows altogether and i was lucky enough to be able to watch one of it. The tickets were all sold out!! I had a great time watching and enjoying myself.

The main actor for the play is...Bernard Hiew aka 豆腐卜(If you watch the astro's show you'll definitely know him)! Looks familiar to you? He was in 大日子! Yes he is from KK. So he played the main actor, Joseph. Can sing really well.

and Because Bernard was in the show, his good friend, Royce flew all the way to KK to support him. Funny guy.

Following that, on a public holiday, we went to church to wrap presents for the interior children. "Shoeboxes"

We collected unwanted shoeboxes from everyone and start packing them with different presents. We have almost 30 -40 people helping, children and adults. Even though it was a tiring day, but there was such a warmth in our hearts because we all could imagine how happy the kids are gonna be when they get this. Its a time to just bless!

In the end, we managed to wrap exactly 400 presents!! Woohoo!!

This Xmas season definitely needs a Xmas tree to brighten up the atmosphere. Its gonna be the last Xmas in this house and this tree will be up here for the last time.

Kidszone Awards Night

We had about 80 people who came that day, children with their parents. It was a great time bonding with one another with games, praise and worship and prize giving. It was so funny to see all the presents dancing and twisting. Hehe.

Kidszone every Sunday this December is fun time! Had so much fun playing with the little kids. These are just some of the pictures of the "Wildfire" boys being dressed by cloth pegs and rubberbands by the kids.

So this is my holiday so far..

Xmas is this Sat! and i cant wait.

Penang, Ipoh & Cameron Trip

So many things i wanna blog here but right now..

Let me tell you about my trip to Penang, Ipoh & Cameron in July. Hehe.

After my final exam for Higher Diploma

My friends (Ray, Christina, Daphne and Jovin) made a trip to Penang, Ipoh & Cameron.

At night, we went to Gurney drive for dinner but it was pouring.

It took us quite some time to decide where to eat but in the end we still wanna eat at the hawker stalls. Who cares bout rain?

After dinner we decided to go back to the hotel to enjoy instead of being out.

After Ipoh we drove up to Cameron because Ms Daphne have not been there before.

Finals is in a few hours and I'm not prepared. Still struggling with law. Sigh.

At a time like this, I miss my college besties. Christina, Jovin, Daphne, Ray(who is far away in Uk). Because every tough time, we'll go thru together and at the end of it we'll have a great time together doing crazy stuffs or chatting away. There was always something great or fun that awaits us. Now, the glue that holds us all together, ray is so far away and it feels empty without him. Right girls? Now I wish final yr wasn't like this. We all hate going for classes.

Looking at the puzzle they gave me with their photos on it makes me miss all the good times we had. Priceless. What I'm gonna do without them?

Sigh..

I miss the fun times.

Few days ago, i had a dream

In the dream, i met Melvin.

Even though i couldn't remember how he looks like now but i knew that was him

Couldn't remember the content of the dream though. Haha

He's my brother

who is right now in heaven

He is 2 years younger than me.

He passed after 9 days because of health problems

I woke up the next day missing him

In my mind,

I was imagining if he was around.

I would have a brother who is 19 yrs old

I wonder how he will look like

I imagine what would life be if he is around

Even though i didn't get the chance to grow up with him

Reality

One more month and this semester is done! I cant wait.

This sem has been very tough for me. The subjects are very boring. The assignments are research after research which i hate. Sigh.

During this sem, we had to organize and event and the event for my class was "Greenomy in Tourism" Talking about going green and also the economy. In this event, i've been assigned to head the sponsorship department, having another 14 people with me on the team. Because of delays, until today we could not get enough sponsors to fund our event which is in 2 weeks.

Yesterday as i sat there in the meeting. I wished i was invisible or i never existed. Because the words coming out from my classmates were so hurtful. 60 people in the same room fighting with each other. Pin pointing fingers to my team saying that we did not do anything when they dont know how much effort and time we've put in since August. All i could do was kept quiet throughout. Complains after complains, blames after blames. I was holding my tears the whole time until a point where i could not take it anymore.

At that point, my dad's words sounded in my mind. Since young, i've a very bad tempered person. He always tells me to control my temper. He always tells me that the world is just full with selfish people and things like this always happens. I couldn't understand why they can't work together as one, make plans to solve the situation and not just sit there and blame each other. Dad always teach me to be SUBMISSIVE to our leader. But in my class, everyone just step over my leader's head. I really hope my classmates do know how to respect my leader. Sigh.

I hope our event will be a success next month.

So much on my mind. So many things to do.

My 21st Birthday!

Finally i have some time to blogged about my 21st Birthday, which was 3 weeks ago. Hehe.

I had a very memorable birthday this year. Something i never expected. Seldom celebrate my birthday, so this is the first year i have so many surprises.

Celebrated with my family and close friends.

Still remember last year, i celebrated my birthday in Maldives with my friends. Time really flies.

Month Of Ghost

The 7th month in the Chinese Calendar is known as the Ghost Month. On the 14th, it is Hungry Ghost Festival. Chinese believes that this month is bad luck. So everyone is suppose to stay home, lay low.

I'm amazed by how fearful my friends or relatives are.

"No, dont go"

"Dont drive"

"Dont go out at night"

etc etc

The preparations they do before the 7th month comes. Going to temples asking their gods to protect them and so on.

With all these things going on, i'm constantly reminded of how great my God is. I do believe there are spirits around. But i'm not afraid of them. Because I have God.

A New Beginning

I've been back in KL for a week now. College just started. I'm now in my final year degree. Not liking it at all. One word - STRESS! 1st day of college already got 6 assignments. Sigh. Oh well, 1 more year to go! Hehe.

Now i really want to go back to KK to enjoy more holiday. I've a wonderful time back home with my family. I miss them. =(

Friday night, i went out with Vigita. It was the funniest outing ever. Wanna go clubbing, just the 2 of us. Haha. We just wanna check out the new places in KK. Went to Times Square Firefly, White Room, Emperor and Mezza9.

We were only able to leave the club at 4.30am. Crazy! Its the 1st operation after 6 years. tsk tsk...

Turkey is a beautiful country. It is the only country located between 2 continents, Europe and Asia. Turkey is rich with history (Byzantine & Ottoman Empire), culture and etc etc. Not gonna revise my history class here. Anyway, I went to Turkey on the 9th April - 18th April 2010 (9 days). Its Spring season, so the weather was nice. Its my international study trip with my classmates. Besides those annoying people, the whole trip was good.

9th April 2010

0000hrs flight to Istanbul. 11 hours straight of flight really kills.

10th April 2010

Arrived at Istanbul 6am (11am Malaysia time). It was cold about 11 degrees. Somewhere there.

Went to visit Istanbul famous landmark, Blue Mosque. The only mosque which has 6 minarets.

Then we went to Topkapi Palace.

After that, it was time to head to Boru for the night. The bridge in the picture is the bridge between Europe and Asia.

11th April 2010

It was 2 degrees in the morning. It was so cold in Boru. We then headed down to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. We visited the Ankara Museum. Most of the Turkish never seen any asian before. The only ones they always see are the grandma and grandpa Japanese. So when they saw us, we were like celebrities. They kept on taking pics with us. I really lost count.

Oh, and Turkish guys are hawt!! HAHAHA

Then it was lunch time. Most of our meals are the same. They dont have a vast variety of food like Msia. (Msia Rocks!). So almost every meal, we ate the same thing and was getting sick of it. Not only that, the food was either very salty or very sweet.

Then we were on our way to Cappadocia. On the way there, we stopped and visited the Salt Lake.

Finally arrived and checked into the so-called 5 star hotel. Talking about hotels, their standards are really low. 5 star hotels are like 3.5 star in Msia. They dont provide hot water, no swimming pool, Business centre, etc. Facilities are not good enough, but it was ok.

SS-ing in the room. After dinner, we walked down to town. Had a cup of apple tea and some ice cream. =)

12th April 2010

Visited the Kaymakli Underground City. It was the hiding place for the Christians. It could accommodate about 50,000 people. Really an amazing place.

Those hanging on the tree are known as Evil Eye. They are seen everywhere. It is believed by the locals that it will help to keep "dirty things" away. Every car, every house, everyone will have one on their jacket.....etc..

the awesome Turkey beer, Efes Pilsen. Very smooth and strong. Nice!

Then we were off to visit the largest open air museum in the world, Goreme Open Air Museum. Visit all the different cathedrals.

Turkey is famous for Silk and it is often used to make carpet. 1 carpet might need almost 2-3 yrs to finish. Depending on the size and pattern.

Cappadocia is also famous for its wine.

13th April 2010

We left Cappadocia in the morning. Heading to Pammukale. Today's journey was the longest. We had to travel 10 hours to Pammukale, stopping in Konya.

After 10 hours, we finally arrived in Pammukale. Around 9pm. So eager to check in to the hotel until we checked in, we nearly fainted. The place was like some haunted hostel. It was so scary until 6 of us cramped into the same room for the night.

14th April 2010

Went to the famous landmark of Pammukale, Cotton Castle. The place was really amazing.

After that, we headed west to Kusadasi. Kusadasi is famous for its beautiful sea. The one in the picture is Aegean Sea, aka Sea of Love "爱情海". And if you can see those islands opposite (the blur ones) is Greece!! Yes, Greece was right opposite us.

The weather was getting warmer. About 24 degrees.

We visited Ephesus in the afternoon. Ephesus is the ancient city of the romans. Ephesus was one of the seven churches of Asia that are cited in the Book of Revelation.

15th April 2010

We woke up at 5am and had the most delicious breakfast, Maggi!!Haha. Then, Traveled up to Bursa. Went for shopping at the Silk Market.

Checked in hotel and it was free and easy time. SHOPPING! Wee..we went to MNG and it was on clearance sales. Bought a top which cost 4.90 Lira (About RM10+) and a pair of jeans. =D 满载而归啊！

16th April 2010

2 hours drive back to Istanbul. Had a very good lunch.

Then to the famous tourist place for shopping, Grand Bazaar! Place for souvenirs.

At night, we went out to the nearby shops trying to find a place that serves beer and shisha, but dont have 2 in 1. So in the end, we went to a beer house right opposite our hotel. Had a great time.

17th April 2010

The day we flew home and the day i got really pissed. The immigration in Turkey sucks! No system at all. We queued there for almost an hour and suddenly 3 middle east ladies just walked passed us and line up beside me. 1 of them was trying to cut our line. My friends and i were arguing with her the whole time because she gave us stupid excuses and in the end said "Dont understand, language problem" !@#$@#!%% When it was my turn, she just slipped in and we passed our passport to the guy, and the guy took her passport! WTH?!!! I was so pissed! Everyone was actually looking at her. 真是厚脸皮！酱的人都有。

This year's CNY was a blast. Yeah, i know it was 3 months ago. Sorry for the late update. hehe.
So started off with Reunion Dinner at my place with Grandma and 2 aunties and not forgetting my Godbro, Brian.

Day 1 (14th Feb 10)
1st day of CNY, my family and i went back to Sdk. Thats my mom's hometown. We took flight this time. Dad says he is tired of driving the long hours. So we arrived early in the morning about 8am and went to my aunt's place. Breakfast was prepared. "Zai Coi"

After breakfast, everyone changed and was getting ready to go popo's place. Its the routine every year. This year's theme was YELLOW! All the cousins had to find yellow. We waited until everyone's there and then group pic!

Day 2 (15th Feb 10)

Woke up early to help my aunt prepare lunch. At the same time, learn her cooking skills. Hehe.

And later, lunch was served. "Zat Tai"

After dinner, the excitement begins. My uncle Ben and his wife, Aunty Pam came back from UK after so many years to celebrate with us. Earlier that morning, he told us that he heard we're all good drinkers and wanted to challenge us after dinner. We took the challenge for fun. My uncle opened up 2 bottles of champagne to celebrate at first. Until everyone gotten high a little and start making noises, the BATTLE BEGINS!! COUSINS vs AUNTIES & UNCLES.

My uncle took out a bottle of Cordon Bleu, Swing and also Black Label. Crazy!

The rule of the game : 1 representative from each side. Everyone must have at least 1 drink. We can choose who to challenge. =))

The whole thing was crazy. Everyone drank and laughed and went siao!

After resting a day, it was our turn with my aunts and grandma in KK. My Granduncle and his family was coming that night. So we had BBQ and Steamboat night. Started preparing in the afternoon.

Family China Trip

I know. Its been months. but i only got time now to blog about it. Hehe.

My family & i went to China for a family trip in Dec after Christmas (26th Dec 09 - 2nd Jan 10). Yup, we celebrated New Year there. We went to Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Yiwu, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macau all in 8 days. =)) Good itinerary though. We had an amazing time being together.

Day 1 (26th Dec 09)

We left KK at 7am to Shenzhen. And guess what? We met Joe Ma at the KK airportw with his whole family. I was stunned for a few seconds. Hehe. Oh, if you dont know who is that, thats him in the pic below.

So anyway, we arrived in Shenzhen by noon and waited for our transit to Shanghai. Arrived at Shanghai at night and visited Xin Tian Di. It was very cold.

Day 2 (27th Dec 09)

We visited Shanghai and then headed to Suzhou. It was snowing in Shanghai. Very nice.

After Suzhou, we headed to Nanjing.

Day 4 (29th Dec 09)

Heading down to Wuxi. The tour guide was amazing. Entertained all of us throughout the whole journey. A very funny guy.

Visited the Pearl Factory in Wuxi and then head down to Hangzhou.

Day 6 (31st Dec 09)

Travel to Yiwu. This is a very small town. So we checked in hotel early and there was nothing to do. However, during dinner. Some of the uncles ordered bottles of beer. Cant remember how many were there. Bout 20 i think. Everyone drank and everyone was high. To celebrate New Year.

Day 7 (1st Jan 10)

We headed back to Shanghai. Went to Nanjing Road but it was super duper packed so we just hang around the streets behind which are less crowded and my siblings and i wanna get ice cream! Yes, in the super cold weather. For fun! We were already freezing. hehe

Day 8 (2nd Jan 10)

Flew back to Shenzhen early in the morning and drove down to Zhuhai. After having lunch, we went down to Macau where we waited for our flight back to KK.

But our flight got delayed. The airport was too small to explore. We were tired and bored. So, we SS at the airport to kill time and finish the camera battery. Hehe!

Then we got dad and mom to join in. Hehe. Dad was holding the camera. We were getting stares from everywhere. Who cares? Hehe

Term 6

Yes, i'm back! =)

Finally had the time to blog again.

Currently in Term 6 already. How time flies. Gonna finish my Higher Dip in June. and after this, i'll be missing 2 good friends who will be leaving Msia to further their studies in Europe. =(( Gonna miss them a lot a lot.

Its Week 4 tomorrow. Half of the revision classes are over and i did not pay much attention because of the TIS report. Now that is done, i better start refocusing. No more goofing around.

Term 5, Week 1 Jan 2010

Week 1 is finally over. It felt like it was more than a month already..my new timetable for term 5 is very sucky..Packed! My seniors says it gets worst every term. *breathes*

We've been using the new campus now for a week. Its a total disappointment. Everything is not ready. Loads of problem, especially the car park and the canteen. Parking spaces are so limited. The students from other schools are not here yet. can you imagine with them coming in, there's no place to park! and the canteen is so small and the food are expensive! Sigh. Have to wait forever for the lifts also. Disappointed, disappointed, disappointed! The only impressive thing is the Library. Its 4 stories and have lots of places to chill and relax. Thats the only thing that is impressive.

My lecturers for this term are all ok.

- Got Ms Siew Ching for my TRMD lecturer, which means i'll be traveling with her for my international trip. Speaking of that, we're praying hard that we can go either Egypt, Rome or Turkey.

- My french lecturer is a French guy. His accent are a little hard to catch but its a good thing. Train us to listen more.

- My history lecturer is so FRIGGIN HAWT! hahaha. British guy. tsk tsk. History class wont be so boring after all. haha!

I've been home for almost 3 weeks now. Haven had the time to really relax. Busy preparing for Xmas. Exciting!

So the 1st 2 weeks, my friends from KL and Kuching were here for a holiday. We all had a great time. I also went to meet up with my high school friends. Everyone's back, most of them. Happy to see them and to catch up.

Beautiful Maldives

I've been back from Maldives for 2 weeks now. Haven had time to relax until now. This is a summary of my whole trip in Maldives.

My 2 months there, i've really enjoyed every bit of it. It was a whole different experience compare to the 1st 2 i had. We met all kinds of people from different parts of the world. Glad to know friends of different nationalities. If you ask me what i miss the most, its not the place or the work, but the friends i made and also the time i get to spend with my college mates. Really miss it. I put up pics of some memorable times i had in Maldives.

The day i arrived in Maldives International Airport. Small. and the smell of the sea..was a little sickening in the beginning. Haha!

The 1st few days was just getting to know the place..and..SLEEP!! We got nothing to do, so we just sleep and sleep.

I went for Dolphin Quest with Daphne and Christina on our off day. Oh, the boat we're in its call the "Dhoni", a traditional Maldivian boat.

One of the days, we went to Naladhu, its a 6 star resort where there's only 19 rooms on the island. They have their own swimming pool and house master to take care of them. Its a dream to stay there. Its about 2k usd per night.

We went snorkeling.

Sun tanning. This boat is call a "Pontoon".

2nd Nov, its the festival of light in Thailand, aka Loy Kratong Festival. We went to participate in the event. My friends releasing their light after they say their prayers.

14th Nov, we went for island hopping and snorkeling in another island. Visiting the local communities and things left behind during the Tsunami.

19th Nov, finally i had the time for diving.

22nd Nov, the night before we left, our HR director, Mr Bernard treat us for dinner in Aioli Restaurant. Good food!

Then, we took a boat to Hulhule Hotel for a drink. Its the only place that sells alcohol. We had a great time chit chatting and laughing. Enjoying our time with our "daddy".

Right, we crazy people had been staying up the whole night the last week we're there. Everyday around 10.30pm, we'll head to the canteen for yum cha. Then head to the jetty about 2am. Climb on the boat. Lie on the deck and look at the stars. Chit chatting away until 5am in the morning, we'll go watch the sunrise. EVERYDAY!! Crazy. See our sleepy faces.

Yes, we brought pillows and blankets. and of course junks!

Just to watch this. Then go for breakfast before we head to bed.

Our last day in Maldives.

We all dressed up nicely. All the girls wore dresses because we did not have the chance to wear it for 2 months. Haha. We went to the beach and just relax. Some were sun bathing, some were chit chatting. Marvin, Christina and i were in the water. Yes, with our dresses(i mean me and chris)

Night came and it was time to say goodbye to our friends.

Its our last few days here and we're using it to the fullest. We've been staying up all night for 2 days now just chit chatting and waiting to see sunrise. Crazy People! but i'm enjoying every bit of it. Relax.

Yesterday i went diving with another 4 friends. Finally after so long. Great dive. Din get to see much fishes but lots of corals. Different kinds and really pretty. Worth it!

Final week in Maldives

Day 38 - Maldives

Yup, its more than a month already. Time flies.

Last Friday was my last day in FO. Glad to change department because of the travelling and i wasn learning much. Went snorkeling with Christina and Sin Sien on Saturday and enjoy the weekend off.

I changed to Finance department this week starting Monday. Jovin, Theresia n i are in Finance. Christina,Ray and Daphne in HR and Sin Sien,Marvin in Kihavah's pre-opening office. Our work time are all the same which is good. 9-6pmeveryday. Loving the work and the people in finance. Enjoying it. =)

But this week was really tiring for all of us. There was a big group from China,about 36 of them and none of them speak English except the tour leader. The fnb manager requested us to help them out for 4 days while these guests are here. This group of Chinese are very demanding and not friendly at all. They ask for every ridiculous thing they can think of and they are super stingy people. Not willing to even buy a bottle of mineral water. My friends and i were assigned to different outlets at different time to serve this group. I worked every night until 9 something or even 11. Working more than 12 hours everyday. Je suis fatigue!! In the end we get nothing but complaints. Sigh. We also have to assist the water sports centre with these people for fishing, snorkeling and dolphin quest. We were like 24 hours on call. It was hell. I went with them for snorkeling and it was horrible. They were like kids. We had to help them put on masks and so on. Urgh! Really terrible terrible people. At that time i wish i dont speak Mandarin or cantonese. They finally left yesterday and we are all happy. Haha.

Finally i get to rest today. Tonight night audit. Its gonna be fun. =)

Day 24 - Maldives

Finally i have the time to update this blog.

Time really flies. I've been here for almost a month already. Work have been good. Still more of a translator but i also get to learn other things. People here in my department are all very nice and crazy people. Sometimes we just couldn stop laughing. I'm gonna miss them when i change department.

Last Saturday's day off, i went out with Christina and Daphne to see dolphins together with some guests. It was a good trip just spending time together to relax.

Yesterday was my day off too. This time 4 of us. We went kayaking and snorkeling. The funny thing is, the sea here is very strange. Some parts are very deep and some were very shallow until my ankle or sometimes till my knees. Christina and i was on one kayak, while Sin Sien and Ray were in another kayak. We kayak till a certain point and our kayak stopped because the water was up to my ankles. Christina and i had to come out of the kayak and pull until somewhere deep. We laughed non stop. It was a good day out. Tiring though. I wanna dive on my next off day. =)

Finally my off day. 2 days of night shift is tiring.

I just came back from a meeting with the HR director, Mr Bernard. It was suppose to be a 30 mins meeting but it turned out to be 2 hours because there were a lot of things to discuss. We prepared powerpoint to present to him about all the problems and what we have learnt this 1st week. also what have to be improve. He was impress because its only our 1st week and we've got a lot of points. We now need to do a proper report so that he can present it to the managers. There're new plans for us, hopefully its approve. We're excited.

Finally i have to time to upload pics. Here goes..

Until last time after my shift at 12am, i came back to the room and found the 2 guys in my room and everyone was still awake. Din suspect anything because they told me they're waiting for me to go yum cha. which we do every night. Everyone just do their own thing until suddenly they started singing the birthday song. I was suprised. Theresia was holding a cake. We just cut, eat and then everyone slept. They told me it was suppose to be the night before but i had to worked till 2am so the plan was off. Even though its just a small thing but i really appreciate it. They purposely try to get someone to buy me a cake from Male. Daphne was outside in the cold waiting for my dear cake. Haha. Thanks gal.

Day 9 - Maldives

Happy Birthday to me! Haha. *Missing everyone back home. Wish i could be with them today. But hearing their voices was good enough to make my day=)*

No way to celebrate bcoz i worked till 2.30am this morning. Sometimes i dont even see my friends because of the different shifts.Anyway, last night was a little party with dear Chritina. Went back and was so hungry. Christina stole some maggi from my friend's luggage. Went to the canteen but it was locked. Sigh. no hot water. Ended up eating oreo and chips.

Today doing noon shift again. suppose to end at 12am but dont know today until what time again. Last night a large group from China came around 1.30am. These people are from Guangzhou and they dont speak english. Not even a bit. A guy came up to me to ask for "Fire wood" only later i realise he wants matches. *faints* They got so noisy the moment they know i can speak cantonese. Ask for this and that. Even the briefing done by colleague was passed to me bcoz they dont understand. It was hard talking to a large group of people. Tonight another group. Hopefully they dont speak cantonese. Mandarin is wayyyy easier for me.

Tomorrow is off day. Thinking what to do...hmm...

Day 8 - Maldives

The week passed by so fast when work starts.

Today i'm working the noon shift which means starts from 3pm - 12am. Its really tiring but not as tiring as the night shift. Work is so far so good, not learning the system stuffs but more like a translator for the Chinese. There're really a lot of them here and they cant speak english. They are very happy when they know we can speak Mandarin, Cantonese or Hokkien. These 2 days i'll be busy with the big group Chinese guests coming in.

Yesterday, a guest complained to me about the menu which was translated in to chinese. There's a dish which has the word "ai" means cancer and cement and a lot of other funny direct translations. So now this is my assignment. A few of us have to help change all the menus of the different restaurants. We have 8 altogether. A lot to do...but fun reading the funny translations.

Mr Heinecke, who is the owner of Minor Corporations, had arrived today. He is the owner of all the Anantara Resorts in Maldives, Thailand, China, Laos, Vietnam and so on. He owns nearly all the fast food outlets in Thailand and also the clothing industry in Thailand. You can read more bout it in the website. The HR Director will arrange a meeting for us trainees to meet him. This is really a good opportunity if we make a good impression. It'll do good for our future. never know he might hire us when we graduate. Hehe.

Was suppose to start work today but my uniform was not ready bcoz of some miscommunication. so Jovin and i was free the whole day while the others started working.

Dont know what to expect after hearing all the comments from my frens.The people worked them like dogs. seriously. not as good as you think.

we'll observea few more days and see how things goes.

Poor thing, they all have split shifts. All come back and sleep before the nx shift. Dont know what's mine gonna be.

Day 3 - Maldives

Hey, its day 3 for us. we're still relaxing because work haven start.

This morning we went to meet the managers in the resort during their morning briefing. They're really expecting a lot from us. Hope we do well.

Hey everyone, just to let you know, i've safely arrived in maldives, in Anantara resort.

We arrived last night at 12.30am (msia time) and because of the imigration, we missed the boat to the resort and had to wait for an hour. By the time the boat came, it was bout 2.30am (msiatime). Arrived the resort and check in and walkaround, it was almost 4am (msia time). Seriously tired. Still tryiing to adjust to the time here.

Everything here is way beyond our expectations. 6 of us are staying together, while the 2 boys are sharing with others. we have attached bathroom. we're staying on the staff island, which had great facilities actually. They have a gym, computer room, clinic, canteen and so on. The food here is good. Eeverythings good except the weather, its quite hot. but thank god for aircons and fans in the rooms. hehe.

This morning we had an amazing chat with the HR manager discussing about everything. He told us why he brought us in. I was suprised when he told us that he needs us to make things change here. Told us the problems here with the staffs. Having attitude problems and so on. We're here to change the mind set and setting good examples for these people. He took us in also because we're aseans. He is really expecting a lot from us. He told everyone in the resort that we're not to be bullied or asked to get a cup of coffee. He told his staffs that we're high intelligent people and one day we might be their bosses. Haha!! No wonder last night when we arrived, we do no need to carry our luggages. and btw, everyone was staring at us, bcoz 90% here are all male. haha. All 8 of us are assigned to different departments and they're all tough ones. We are the 1st batch coming in from Malaysia and taylors, so we need to really do good. hehe. So we're here to learn, help and exchange knowledge.

The water here is so clear.i mean Really clear! Hmm..diving..surfing..mm hmmm..awesome!

Its 4pm here and we need to go meet the GM now. Get to tour around the 3 resorts. Hehe. Excited.

Despite all the stress, this term my classmates and i really had fun. Not like the usual just doing powerpoint presentations but with videos, dance, stomps and raps. The assignments are officially over and now exams are just around the corner. By the time this ends, its the end of Term 4. So fast.

Anyway, just some updates about the week..

My parents were here for a few days. Enjoyed spending time with them even though its just for a while. I miss them =(

Last Wed, we had our exhibition "Taylor's to Toulouse" in college. We started at 10am - 4pm. It was so tiring because the crowd was non stop. We had about 300 people, which was unexpected. My lecturer was happy with it and gave us full mark. =) =)

Thank you BDT31 for the great work and effort and thank you to those who came and support.

Then on Thurs night, we had a farewell for Mr Taiwan. He left today. All the best to you, TC!

Spent the weekend doing nothing. Just hang out with Christina.

Yesterday, Law assignment was over. YES! Every group did a wonderful job explaining the differences between Sole Prop, Partnership and Company Law through drama, dances, musical.....My group did some singing, stomp and dance. Watch this video. We're not pros, so yeah..its a bit cacat. Haha!

Its 2.25am now and i'm still doing my assignments. Sigh. Hectic week. Anyway, my relatives were here over the weekend for my cousin's graduation. It was nice spending time with them again.

Saturday, i went down to KL, Wisma MCA for the graduation. It was so crowded and the weather was really killing. =S After that, we went to The Apartment, The Curve for dinner. Haven had good food so such a long time. =)

Gastronomy Tour

Last week's outing was suppose to go Kuala Selangor but the plan changed last minute. Instead of visiting the fireflies, it became a gastronomy tour. Eat, eat, eat and eat.

We headed down to Klang and went for lunch. Because of the jam and distance, we only arrived there at 5pm! Lunch? at 5. Yes. Everyone was so hungry. The food was good and cheap. Everything came in big portion. We thought we couldn finish it, but we did. Not a single thing was left.

After that wonderful lunch, we headed down to another shop which was famous for their "bao" but there was none left and we had to wait for quite a long time so we left. We went to a food court for Indonesian dessert.

We tried something really special, Snow Beer. According to my friend, its very famous in Ipoh. They freeze half the bottle of the beer. Something like that. When they pour it out, the ice float on top are like snow, very smooth and icy. Really cooling.
After that, it was about 8. We went to eat Klang's Luk Luk. Yumm...

After dinner, we were suppose to go Baskin Robbins because it was the 31st. 30% off for ice cream. But the queue was sooooooo long. We gave up. Suppose to go to the ice cream house but we were just too full. So we went to walk around and went to the fun fair.

Then, we headed back to the ice cream house for ice cream and drinks.

Finally, the tour ended. Our stomachs were bloated with food.

My heart is crushed

Few weeks ago, a few of my classmates and i applied to Hokkaido to do our training there. Everything is provided, including allowance. We sent our resumes in and hope for the best.

But..

News came today and my heart is crushed. The agent there need us to do our training for 4 months but we only could do 3 months. JUST 1 MONTH DIFFERENCE! Sigh.

No more Hokkaido. So much for hoping.

What's next? Tell me..

Cant sleep

This week i dont know why i just couldn sleep. I forced myself to sleep but only manage to fall asleep at 3 or 4am everyday. Waking up at 7am.

Ah! I need to sleep.

So many assignments pouring in.

Relaxing weekend.

Last weekend was really relaxing and enjoying. Friday night, we had BBQ dinner at Marvin's place. DT28 really can die of boredom if there's no activities over the weekend.Haha. Tourism students, "mou fat zhi". We just love to hang out with one another. =) We had a great time chit chatting and laughing of course.

Saturday. A few of us brought Bev to celebrate her bday. She wanted to go to Fullhouse. The things there are not so great actually. Just the ambience. We managed to get a table at the balcony. There were 9 of us, Loh, Daniel, Sean, Kien Wai, Bev, Elaine, Chris, Gg and i.

After that, Loh brought us to Picadilly.
Then we headed back to Sunway. Still not satisfied with the outing, so we hanged out at Republic.

Then, Jaafar. 4 places in 1 night. Awesome!

Shawn Lee, the Beatboxer

I love to watch when people beatbox. Just to share something with you. Shawn Lee, not sure if you've heard of him before. He is a 18-yr-old boy who loves to beatbox. He's been to many competitions around the world and he is really awesome. He is from City Harvest and i had a chance to see him perform. Really good!! Watch these videos...

Here's another one from H-Factor. The video quality is not very good but he is still amazing.

He recently went to a competition called Beatbox Battle in Berlin. Its a world competition. He was fighting against Vahtang who is from Russia for the 2nd place but he lost. But he did well. Watch this..

Week 3 of Term 4

Its the 3rd week of Term 4 and i'm finding it hard to breathe. Sigh. Assignments are pilling up. Lots of research to do. Before this, let me start from the beginning.....

Came back to college during Week 2. Was not excited at all because a lot of my friends left. Little did i know that they all continued but lied to me. I was the only one who din know. Turned out, all 10 of us are back in the same group making loud noises that the lecturers cant take it. Haha!

The bad thing, my timetable is packed from Monday to Thursday. 8am - 6pm. *faints*

Subjects are getting harder. Learning every country in the world. *faints*

Mais, every Friday is an offday!! And plans for the week..

After that, got really sick. Had high fever for 2 days. Everything's ok now. Almost everyone in college is sick.

Bandung & Jakarta

I came back last week from a great holiday with a few of my classmates to Indonesia. Stayed with my classmate, Theresia. Blessed by her family. Her driver drove us around during the trip. Her maids cooked for us. Yes, maidS. She has 4 maids & 3 drivers. The weather in Bandung is cooling. Really nice and comfortable. But the traffic there is really terrible. Jam everywhere. And language is a problem. They dont understand our BM and we dont understand their Indon. English they also dont understand. So we had to bring my indon friend, TJ everywhere whenever we wanna buy anything. Besides that, everything is good. Especially SHOPPING! The goods there are super cheap. Factory outlets everywhere. Wish we had more time to shop. Hehe.

2nd July 09

I flew from KK to KL to meet up with the rest then fly to Bandung. We arrived at night. Checked into Theresia's home then rested.

3rd July 09

Woke up early. had breakfast at home. Then started our journey to Rumah Mode, a factory outlet for shopping. After lunch, we head up to a hill. There're a lot of hills there. We went up to one of them, called Gunung Tangkuban Parahu. It was so cold up there. We were all freezing even though we had our jackets on.

After that, they brought us to another hill for dinner. Its Bandung look out point. Way better than our Little Genting. A fine dining restaurant, western food.
4th July 09

We woke up at 7am and headed down to Jakarta after breakfast. Arrived at Jakarta at lunch time. Stayed over in Theresia's uncle's place. The uncle's driver drove us around Jakarta. Went for shopping again. Bought lots of things.
Then we headed to central Jakarta to see the National Monument, aka MONAS. Ketara tourism students, need to see these kind of thing. Haha! Drove almost 3 hours there including the jam and we only stayed there for less than half an hour. -.-
Then we had dinner at a hawker stall. Food in Jakarta are expensive. About RM7 per plate of mee goreng. We went home to shower and then at 11pm, headed down to town to X2. Meet up with David & Edu, culinary students. They say its the best club in Indonesia, but no. It sucks. The DJ sucks. Still Malaysia's the best.

5th July 09

Arrived home at 3am. Showered and slept at 4 plus. Dead tired. All 10 of us slept in the conference room. Jovin & I woke up the earliest. The rest woke up at 3pm. *faints* Ate and headed back to Bandung.

Theresia's mom was so nice. She cooked us a really nice dinner. Chinese Teo Chew cooking.
After dinner, we hang around in the room waiting for time to past.
Then about 11pm, we packed our clothes and left home to another hill. To the hot spring. It was frigging cold up there until we're in the pool. The water was really hot. 42 degrees! We left that place at 1am.

6th July 09

We had lunch with Theresia's mom in Bandung Indah. Then went to buy Banana Cakes. We were all waiting for this. Whenever Theresia comes back to KL from Bandung, she'll buy this for us. We all bought more than 6 boxes each.

After that went for last minute shopping in Blossom, another factory outlet. Then dinner with Theresia's family. It was her nephew's bday.

Dinner was good. Then her sis brought us to another hill, called the Kampung Daun. The place was So beautiful. So romantic. So comfortable. So cooling. The pictures are too dark. Cant show you.

Went home, packed. Then we chit chat till 3.30am and it was time to leave to the airport.

7th July 09

Flew back to KL then back again to KK.
